Barbara Pita is the Program Director – Career Access for Break Through Tech Miami housed in the Knight Foundation School of Computing and Information Sciences. With over 15 years of experience at the FIU Registrar’s Office, Barbara has been an integral part of the university community since she started her journey there in 2007. Her commitment to excellence and her strong work ethic have earned her recognition and respect from colleagues and students alike. Barbara’s educational background reflects her diverse interests and drive for personal growth. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Travel and Tourism Management from FIU and a Master’s degree in New Media Journalism from Full Sail University. Barbara’s journey from the FIU Registrar’s Office to Break Through Tech FIU is a testament to her dedication, adaptability, and commitment to making a positive impact. With her vibrant personality and unwavering drive, Barbara is poised to contribute significantly to the growth and success of Break Through Tech FIU, inspiring and empowering women to break barriers and thrive in the world of technology. She is an avid traveler, exploring different cultures and expanding her horizons through immersive experiences around the world. When she’s not jetting off to new destinations, Barbara can be found spending quality time with her beloved dogs.
